It’s been exactly 5 years now since Axwell dropped his massive mix of In My Mind by Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl. The iconic anthem has moved countless crowds over the years and is arguably one of Axwell’s biggest tracks. Vocal infused progressive house was the cornerstone of dance music back in those days, and this is by far one of the best scores that era has gifted us. It featured vocals from the incredibly talented Aussie, Georgi Kay and went on to be nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards in the category of Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.

In My Mind was definitely one of the go-to anthems for any DJ. The track played a huge role in driving the Swedish House Mafia era and helped shape the trio’s signature sound across the globe. Along with the likes of Don’t You Worry Child, Leave The World Behind and Save The World Tonight; the track just added magnitude to the already packed arsenal. Thousands of ravers across the globe sang “In my mind, and in my head, this is what we all came for” almost instinctively on every play. The massive score became one of the stand-out pieces of music, and dictated dancefloors from Tomorrowland mainstages to Ibiza clubs. It truly helped solidify the Swedish House Mafia brand and has left them a legacy as the kings of dance music.

To date, you can still hear In My Mind’s top line being used in the largest of festivals in the form of mash-ups or bootlegs. In fact, we’d bet you’ll be singing this tune all day after taking just a single listen.

Check out the track below and take a refreshing trip down memory lane.
