Major Lazer – Run Up (feat. Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR)

There’s nothing more sought after in music then the pairing of two artists whose sound is both similar, yet flourishingly different. Led by possibly the most iconic name in electronic music to date, Diplo’s Major Lazer, has become a household name in the industry for close to a decade. Taking both the Billboard’s and AMA’s coveted Best Dance Track award for their 2016 smash hit “Lean On”, and now nominated for their Justin Beiber collab “Cold Water”, these moombahton tastemakers seem to know a thing or two about how to lead their craft in the right direction.

With all that success, who better to take the group to an entire new level than the island babe herself, Nicki Minaj. Their new track entitled “Run Up” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, is a vocal powerhouse full of catchy harmonies and a tropical foundation all which carry the song’s rooted background. For over 3 minutes fans are swept away by lush synth work and bouncy bass, all leading to Nicki’s perfectly executed flow. The tune which receive major radio play and be an obvious choice for future artist reworks.
