The names Ralph Felix and SDJM may not seem familiar, but you may know them under different aliases. Ralph Felix, formerly being part of the impressive duo NEW_ID (who now works on the project solo), has debuted his first release since the duo’s split in 2015, called “The Heat”. Crafted alongside the infamous Italian groove powerhouses Simon De Jano and Madwill, who now produce under the joint alias of SDJM, “The Heat” is a refreshing new twist on a remarkable classic, and a style completely different from what fans are used to hearing from the three masterful producers.
Gaining the support of major players in the scene such as Axwell, Tiesto and DJ Danny Howard, the latter of which who has played “The Heat” multiple times on his BBC Radio One show, the impressive melodic masterpiece captures the innocent, playful, cheerful side of the three producers – the sole essence of the vision behind their productions. Featuring the infectious pitched-down vocals of Whitney Houston’s classic unforgettable hit “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” layered on top of a stunning piano-laden breakdown, “The Heat” is the definition of the perfect summer tune. And if that doesn’t do it, the addition of the catchy vocal chops infused throughout the drops certainly will get you moving. Ralph Felix and SDJM are definitely ones to keep an eye on for the upcoming months, as they have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
