Riding high on his hugely successful 2016, masked pioneer Marshmello is back with his latest remix, this time for Noah Cyrus and Labrinth‘s recent collaboration ‘Make Me Cry‘. Going from bedroom beat maker to international success in little under a year, not only is his sound unlike anything on the market today, but his love for the music and his fans only reinforce the scene’s positive environments. Released this past week, the future bass mastermind does what he does best and spins the original on its head.

The track kicks off with a series of majestic plucks that build up with a well-designed progression underneath, creating atmosphere and intensity. The record features a vocal that brings the listener in right from the offset, before it later gives way to an upbeat, fun drop. Keeping up a steady flow of energy from start to finish, it’s rare to find a Marshmello track that doesn’t feature an instantly catchy melody, and this remix is no different. Essentially adding some melodic bounce to the original, the undercover producer turns ‘Make Me Cry‘ into something that you can truly groove to. And to make things that little bit sweeter, he has given it away for free.
