Always one to bring the goods, Swiss DJ Maurizio Colella, aka EDX, is back with one of the freshest releases of 2017 so far. With what can only be described as a typically signature EDX sound, ‘Dharma’ is a track you’ll be hearing time and time again in various clubs and festivals throughout this summer.
Ensuring he remains ahead of the production game time and time again, EDX has pulled out all the stops for his second offering of 2017. A hypnotic fusion of past and present, layering his signature deep house beats alongside futuristic soundscapes and laced with old school style vocal samples, ‘Dharma’ further cements EDX’s position as the authority when it comes to deep house grooves.
One of the main problems producers face in modern times is staying true to their own sound. For EDX, this is no such issue, and within the first minute of this storming release, it is instantly recognizable as to who is behind this work as the floaty melody is met by those authentic EDX almost-tropical bass pumps. As the track builds towards its sumptuous middle, the same fresh summery vibes that can be found on the Swiss star’s Indian Summer Remix of Sam Feldt‘s 2015 track “Show Me Love” are at work, with a toe-tapping melody at the heart of the track’s soul-warming core.
‘Dharma’ is sure to be one of the biggest tracks of this year, and is set for release on Friday 3rd February, so get listening below and give us your thoughts on this massive deep anthem.
