Parisian hit-maker Martin Solveig has today revealed the official remixes for his latest single ‘Places’ feat. Ina Wrolsden. The piano-driven track has been re-imagined by the likes of Audion, Leon Reverse, Billy Kenny, and now most notably, Conro, with a funky trap reworking. The Canadian’s rendition of ‘Places’ will join the recently released Icarus remix.

Undefeated percussion and layers fill Conro’s version with a unique twist on the original. The Canadian, who recently signed to Monstercat, the same label as fellow trap mogul Marshmello, is well known for his zippy synths, and was always destined to make a name for himself as a musician. Born into a musical family, Conro started playing violin at the tender age of 7. Later going on to play in the Saskatoon Youth Symphony orchestra, with a burning desire to spread his talents soon taking over, he took up piano, guitar and the drums, with a passion that continues to glow bright to this day.

Solveig’s original was released at the tail end of 2016, and enlisted the vocal talent of Norwegian singer/songwriter Ina Wroldsen, who notably lent her vocals to Calvin Harris and Disciples‘ hit ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and co-wrote Clean Bandit’s #1 single ‘Rockabye’. The upbeat track has received over 16 million Spotify plays and gained strong support across BBC Radio 1 from Danny Howard (who appeared alongside Martin Solveig as a support act as Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s Liverpool Steel Yard show in November 2016), Clara Amfo, and Adele Roberts. The station also christened ‘Places’ as their ‘Track of The Day’.

Away from the airwaves, Martin has announced he will be bringing his incredible ‘My House’ residency to EGG London on 10th March. The highly-anticipated event follows on from his Pacha residency last summer, which he also now confirmed for 2017 too, where he played alongside a star-studded cast of guest artists including Diplo, Tchami, and The Magician.

With Conro’s stunning zippy-trap reworking on this classic track available now, give the exclusive premiere a listen below and let us know your thoughts.
