Canadian electric duo Zeds Dead have been on the scene releasing hits unlike anything, even remotely close to average, for almost a decade. Aside from a cluster of original releases and remixes, their 2016 studio album Northern Lights launched the twosome into a nationwide, sold out tour. Since then, they’ve been hard at work with Deadbeats; a genre defying label catering to everything that steers from today’s commercial norm.
A dubstep, bass heavy, electro, drum n’ bass hurricane, Deadbeats is sure to help some of today’s rising stars catch the eyes of many. With that being said, their first compilation has finally be revealed. Featuring acts like Megaladon, Rezz, SMLE, and the duo themselves, if this list indicats any idea of where the label is headed, its success is sure to rocket this upcoming festival season.
Going on record about the label, member Dylan Mamid states:
“We’re super happy with the range and variety of music we ended up with here. We want Deadbeats to be not just an expansion of the Zeds Dead universe but a platform for music and art that reaches places we have yet to even explore.”
