The Chainsmokers & Coldplay‘s latest single, Something Just Like This is already breaking records. The future-bass anthem has managed to earn the title of most viewed lyric video over a 24 hour period. The previous record was held by Justin Bieber for his What Do You Mean lyric video back in 2015 which gathered an impressive 8.2 million views within the first day. The mighty team up between EDM’s finest, The Chainsmokers and Pop legends, Coldplay managed to bag a whopping 9 million views to dethrone Bieber.

Something Just Like This has been doing wonders on radio and streaming services; and is expected to dominate the upcoming festival season. The track entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts at number 56 and is destined to climb higher up the ladder. The single is part of the upcoming Chainsmokers’ album, “Memories… Do Not Open” .

This isn’t The Chainsmokers’ first YouTube based record, the artists also hold the record for most viewed lyric video (of all time). Their 2016 summer hit, Closer is sitting comfortably at 1.2 billion views and it’s also the only lyric video to surpass the billion views mark.
