Always one to cause a stir on social media, Canadian superstar deadmau5 has once again set tongues wagging with his latest tweet. Those who follow fellow DJ Zedd will be aware of the producer’s recent health troubles, with conditions such as exhaustion and food poisoning blighting the EDM star. Now, the Mau5trap founder has swooped in to ease fears over Zedd’s involvement in Ultra Music Festival.
Zedd’s headline performance at the Miami event is now consequently covered in a cloud of doubt, although no official word has yet been given, and so deadmau5 was quick to swoop in and assure worried festival attendees that the perfect replacement was waiting in the wings, tweeting:
“Hey Ultra, anyone sick, food poisoned or experiencing ‘exhaustion’ yet? I gotta hit up Colombia, but I’ll be back Sunday,”
Ultra then replied with a GIF that read, “You the real MVP.” Judging by these exchanges, it looks as though the thousands in attendance at the Florida festival may be set for more than they first bargained for, with the electronic producer likely to take to the stage on Sunday, the final day of Ultra 2017. Having released two LPs over the past six months, the masked-mouse mogul may be set to unleash a huge array of new tracks and productions to the crowd ahead of his latest Mau5trap compilation volume.
We’ll be updating more information as it comes available. But for now, check out the teaser tweets below:
