With a decade of producing under their belts, duo W&W have collectively made a name for themselves as EDM’s progressive- electro kings. With anthems like “Big Foot”, “Rave After Rave”, ” all the way to one of their most recent, “Arcade”, a collaborated effort with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, the boys musical maturity seems to only increase each new year. With international success, a top 20 DJ Mag ranking, and the constant change of musical pace, W&W’s evolution in the music scene is one I’m sure we haven’t yet seen peak.
That being said, the boys have recently gone under an alias name, NWYR, and with it, a new, fabulous remix. Taking on Ed Sheeran’s hit “Castle On The Hill”, NWYR is heading back to W&W’s trance roots, and really putting them to the test. This remix is the perfect match for Sheeran’s sultry harmonies and powerful vocals. Never overshadowing the foundation, NWYR do a fabulous job complimenting the already crafted tune with beautiful trance undertones, and an overlay of synth progressions. From start to finish, the instrumental undertones create the perfect cocktail of modern, meets old-school trance ballads.
Standing as a fantastic release under their new moniker, NWYR’s take of “Castle On The Hill” might just be what they needed for major festival play this season. Take a listen below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
