Premiere: Highly Sedated – Last Call

Following on from their summer release of ‘Got Some Water’, highly-rated Swedish electronica band Highly Sedated have today announced the release of their fourth single ‘Last Call’ on the mighty Steve Angello’s imprint, SIZE Records. 

A deep brooding track, ‘Last Call’ shows a darker side to the band as it’s driven by deep, rumbling bassline and fluttering synths. Filled with haunting vocals repeating ‘of this is our last call’, the track is perfect for peak-time sets. The vocals continue with such poetic prowess, there’s almost a rap element to the production as “What’s your addiction?” is bellowed to a haunting melody. The track then builds into an almost Faithless-esque progression and hits a drop that Angello himself would be proud of. 

Formed in 2015, Highly Sedated is a result of a group of brother-like friends with a wide difference of musical backgrounds coming together. Through their four releases, they have represented their eclectic taste and genre-bending style, pushing the boundaries of what dance music can be.
