Premiere: Thomas Gold – Survive / Sanctuary

Popular and prolific Berlin-based producer Thomas Gold remarkably first learned to play the keyboard at the tender age of 7. He purchased his first digital synthesizer when he was 15, and soon his shift to club music spawned one of the finest electronic DJ and producers of our generation. Famed for his progressive mixes, this is Thomas Gold as you’ve never heard him before.

Still boasting the same flawless production, Gold showcases a sense of maturity and a new direction as he releases Part 1 of his 2017 long player ‘Revelation’ on Armada Music. The decision to switch up genre to a more commercially appealing sound was a move that was always going to be risky. But it has without a doubt paid off, and Thomas has somehow managed to save the best for last in new singles ‘Survive’ and ‘Sanctuary’.

Featuring Ida Hallquist on vocals, ‘Survive’ is nothing short of pure pop perfection. Upbeat and infectious, it’s an out-and-out summer anthem that will see festival goers tilting their heads back, arms in the air, in a state of euphoric joy. A stark contrast to ‘Survive’, Thomas Gold completely flips the script with ‘Sanctuary’, creating a piece that pits low tonal vocal melodies against thumping bass. It is fair to say the Fanfare Radio head honcho has really hit the peak of his production prowess with these releases. Daring and scintillating, Thomas Gold fans should be very excited to get a taste of these superb new tracks, but don’t just take our word for it.
