Dutch powerhouses Hardwell and Dannic have had a fair share of tracks together throughout their respective careers. In the midst of breaking through the electronic dance music scene, Hardwell teamed up with Dannic, who was still under his moniker DJ Funkadelic, for their groovy 2010 record called “Get Down Girl”. In 2015, the two Breda natives joined forces once again to deliver the progressive house gem titled “Survivors”, which electrified crowds all across the globe.

Hardwell and Dannic’s biggest track as a production duo, however, would be the 2012 anthem “Kontiki”. Recently celebrating its 5-year anniversary, this track became an integral part of Hardwell and Dannic’s career while they were both rising as two of the industry’s most prominent artists. The record also took part in many of Hardwell’s shows around the world during his ‘I AM HARDWELL’ World Tour.

Perfectly balancing Hardwell and Dannic’s signature sounds, “Kontiki” received nothing but tremendous support from fans. Fellow producers and DJ’s such as David Guetta, W&W, and Tiësto have also praised the track, proving the amount of success it accumulated ever since its release five years ago. With its scintillating synths and earth-shattering basslines, it comes to no surprise why this particular single became one of the major releases of 2012.

In celebration of its anniversary, let us relive this incredible tune from the Dutch duo of Hardwell and Dannic.
