Taking place between 18th and 22nd October, Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) returns this year for the 22nd edition of the popular music extravaganza, and this time, will be moving to a new venue.  After 16 years in the Felix Meritis, ADE will be moving to the DeLaMar Theater this year to allow major renovations to take place. The DeLaMar is ideally situated next to the Leidseplein and De Melkweg, and will also allow the event to bring previously separately-housed events such as ADE Dance & Brands under one roof.

Since its inception in 1996, ADE has grown into a globally renowned platform for the international dance and electronic music scene. The festival is the perfect place to spot the latest musical trends and emerging talents, as well as hearing the most recent work of both electronic music pioneers and current superstar acts. And the 2017 panel program is coming together with Morocco under the spotlight in this year’s ADE Global View.

2017 will also see a change to the way tickets are purchased, with a new ticketing system introduced for this year that allows delegates to choose between day and night time activities. It was a move ADE director Richard Zijlma said was neccessary for the event, which continues to grow year-on year, stating:

“Having been sold out for the last seven years, plus with more delegates coming from an ever greater number of countries, the renovation of the Felix Meritis offers us an opportunity to try a different venue. We are excited and optimistic about the new conferencing and networking possibilities that the Nieuwe DeLaMar Theater offers.”

Amsterdam Dance Event’s 2016 festival featured 2,200 artists, 550 speakers and almost 1000 events in 140 venues over 5 days, attracting 375,000 visitors. And with the 2017 edition set to be the biggest yet, be sure to check out the official ADE website for further details!
