Since early November, fans both international and stateside have patiently awaited the release of “What We Started“; The full length documentary inspired by electronic music and the history surrounding it. The movie will focus on the industry’s top pioneers and achievements made to help today’s escalating takeover. Now, with the backing of this years upcoming LA Film Festival the documentary will be screened for ticket purchasers on Thursday, June 5th.

Written and produced by “Champs” director Bert Marcus, alongside his partner Cyrus Saidi, the avid music fans have put their skills to the big screen to earn a spot in one of 2017’s most talked about film festivals. The documentary as a whole will discuss the challenges and triumphs of dance music history, highlighting it’s underground start with Carl Cox, to current main stage star, Martin Garrix.

Hoping to capture the scene in a light that expands past what we today know as a billion dollar empire, “What We Started” is exciting in the sense it’s one of the first major documentaries of it’s kind to publicly get the word out with electric music at its core.
