4 years ago Martin Garrix  burst into the scene with his chart-topping banger ‘Animals‘. The popular Big Room track, which graced mainstages and clubs all over the world gained plenty of accolades. Going platinum in 10 countries, and topping numerous charts around the world, the song has locked in another landmark achievement. 1 billion YouTube views. It joins the 1 billion views club shortly after fellow EDM act Daft Punk also reached the milestone with their track ‘Starboy‘ with The Weeknd and DJ Snake and Major Lazer‘s ‘Lean On‘, which recently hit the 2 billion view milestone!

Garrix, who was signed to Dutch powerhouse Spinnin’ Records, went on to release tracks such as “Wizard‘ with Jay Hardaway, festival favorite Helicopter with Firebeatz and arguably the most well-known Big Room track to date, ‘Tremor‘ with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, en route to a rocket-speed start to what has so far been an impressive career for the young DJ.

After a falling out between Garrix and Spinnin’ regarding the ownership of Martin’s music, Martin Garrix has since gone on to start up his own label ‘STMPD RCRDS‘, as well as taking home #1 spot in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ‘s poll. He has also since released 2 new tracks; ‘In The Name of Love‘ with Bebe Rexha, which has gone platinum in over 10 countries, and ‘Scared to Be Lonely‘ with Dua Lipa, which has gone platinum in 4 different countries. However, despite their popularity, neither have been as successful or as influential as ‘Animals’ was.
