We Are FSTVL, who recently won the award for best UK dance festival from UK Festival awards, have teamed up with a charity called The 10,000 Hours Foundation. The aim of the foundation is to establish a homeless kitchen during the week where the festival is being built. This will be staffed by the volunteers from the We Are FSTVL fan base. The project with We Are FSTVL will begin next week on Wednesday 17th May at the Harold Hill Church.

The charity was founded in 2010 and have previously helped the hungry and homeless at Amsterdam Dance Event and even stars such as Seth Troxler and Kölsch both working in the kitchen showing their respect to the host city and local community.

Oli Wilson, Director of 10,000 Hours UK said the following about his project:

We’ve all experienced the special, collective energy that comes when dancing with thousands of strangers. Our foundation aims to ensure that these feelings don’t fade, that the sense of purpose and unity we feel when dancing to one groove continues after the music fades by being channeled into worthwhile projects.

The line-up for We Are this year features many stars of the electronic music world including the Future House legend Tchami, the electrifying Jauz and the champion of Techno, Carl Cox. So be sure to check it out! Here are some photos of Kölsch’s and Seth Troxler’s experience:
