The Chainsmokers – Young (Owen Norton Remix)

Home Uncategorized The Chainsmokers – Young (Owen Norton Remix)

The Chainsmokers have just received a fantastic rendition of their song ‘Young‘ from British upcoming DJ & Producer Owen Norton. Owen Norton has had a lot of big support from huge artists recently, including the likes of Martin Garrix who dropped his track ‘Infinity‘ at multiple festivals and Bassjackers who played his remix of Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars‘ at their residency in Las Vegas. With all this behind his back, he has set his standards and expectations high, aiming this time to please the mighty Chainsmokers and for his new remix to be popular with all the big DJs and producers once again.

Before you listen to Owen’s remix of ‘Young‘, I have to warn you that this is one of the catchiest songs I’ve heard in a while. Owen adds warm pads to the vocals which creates some wonderful harmonics before transitioning into the build up. During the build up the catchy lead melody kicks in, getting stuck in your head before the song’s even dropped. As it drops, huge powerful chords are added in similar to Martin Garrix’s style and in my opinion, the drop definitely lives up to the hype that the build up created.

We managed to exchange a few exclusive words with Owen and how the remix came about. Here’s what he had to say for himself:

Alex invited me to their show to hang out in February and he said he liked my music. I said I wanted to do a remix of one of theirs and then when I heard young, I started a rough idea, sent it, they loved it and sent the stems back and were like crush it!

The remix has already been reposted by the Chainsmokers on Soundcloud so catch Owen Norton’s remix below now to get an early listen:
