Music and Boxing. At first glance, an unlikely collaboration. But when the hugely anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight was first announced late last night, dance fans everywhere drew a sharp inhale of breath. Taking place on Saturday 26th August, the same weekend as the iconic Creamfields festival, many sports fans instantly knew they would be missing the self-proclaimed ‘fight of the century.’

However, recognising the needs of their fans, Creamfields have today released a statement to announce that ravers shouldn’t fear, with the Liverpool-based UK dance giants set to show the mega-scrap LIVE at the 2017 festival on “The UK’s biggest screening.” Never a company to do things by halves, rumours are circulating that Cream will use one of the festival main stages to show the Las Vegas based fight, which will occur at around 5am UK time. Boasting the most spectacular stages with huge LCD displays for DJ visuals, the idea of such a huge sporting event being show to so many thousands of attendees is one to get even the most non-sporting person excited.

The bout, staged at the MGM Arena, will see Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather put his undefeated 49-fight record on the line, against the MMA’s golden boy, Irish superstar Conor McGregor, who will be making his boxing debut. Creamfields, taking place between Thursday 24th and Sunday 27th August, will boast yet another spectacular line-up this year, with the likes of Tiësto, Martin Garrix, deadmau5, Hardwell, and Eric Prydz all in attendance. It seems the biggest just got bigger, with Mayweather and McGregor the two newest names to join this star-studded cast.
