After releasing a number of commercial-influenced songs with Jay Sean and Austin Mahone, Revealed Recordings founder Hardwell (real name Robbert van de Corput) has returned to his roots with a tremendous Progressive House banger. Co-produced by fellow Dutchmen W&W, the track has been released over a year after its debut at Ultra Music Festival Miami last year. The news released shortly after Hardwell announced a monumental collaboration with American DJ/Producer KSHMR.
The track features Taiwanese Singer/Songwriter Jolin Tsai. Known for reinventing both her music and image, she is cited as a huge role in popularising dance music as mainstream music in Greater China. Having sold more than 25 million records in Asia, Tsai is recognised as one of the best-selling artists in Asia. Her work has earned her numerous awards and accolades, including six Golden Melody Awards, an MTV Asia Award, and an MTV Video Music Award.
Robbert makes excellent use of reverb on Tsai’s delicate vocals and blends them well with the pulsating synths that ascend to build tension so well. The drop’s mammoth lead synths unearth memories of the Hardwell of old and evoke feelings of ecstasy; primed for the mainstage.
