Matthew Koma is back to the charts – a month after his last release ‘Dear Ana’ featuring American producer Jai Wolf – with another stellar production in the shape of ‘Suitcase’. We have all known him as the voice behind some of the biggest hits of yesteryear Dance music, assisting the likes of Zedd on ‘Spectrum‘ and ‘Find You‘, Tiesto on ‘Wasted‘ and Hardwell on ‘Dare You‘. And after releases such as ‘Kisses Back‘ and ‘Hard To Love‘, the American singer/songwriter and producer is back to his best with yet another emotional track.

‘Suitcase’ lets the listener have a two-fold experience – allowing them to be introduced to the heartfelt reflection from Koma’s own relationship struggles and also to impose and understand their own. The production team of Steve James, the genius behind the infectious ‘In My Head‘ tune, and American platinum selling producer Dan Book have woven quite the masterpiece in the foundation they lay for Matthew Koma to deliver his much touted vocal shift. All in all a sound production, allowing the listener to have a soothing experience with lyrics as rich as any other Matthew Koma track, ‘Suitcase’ can only be summarized in the following words from the singer himself:

“Suitcase is a song about seeing your old relationships in your new relationships, your old loves in your new loves…looking back and accepting fault for things that no longer matter. It’s about the feeling of unresolved closure.”

You can purchase the track through iTunes here. The track is also available on Spotify here.
