Back in 2012, the power of ‘Dirty Dutch’ reigned supreme with huge big-room tracks dropping on a frequent basis. One of the stand-out productions from this era was undoubtedly the huge collaboration between Tiësto and Showtek, titled ‘Hell Yeah!’
After years of dominating the trance scene, the track came during the opening years of Tiësto’s move to a more commercial vibe, as his big room sound was blended together effortlessly with the darker vibes of Showtek to form a frenetic banger that is a hit through both sub-genres. A Dutch electronic dance music act consisting of two brothers, Sjoerd Janssen and Wouter Janssen, Showtek’s hard-style influence on the track can be heard throughout with a heavy drop at the heart of the production.
Though the release didn’t make the final cut for Tiësto’s Club Life Miami compilation, this production has taken on iconic status as the years have passed, feeling like a more explosive version of Tiësto’s previous release around this same era, “Maximal Crazy”. Despite the disbelief of this release coming a full 5 years ago, there is no opportunity more perfect than this to relive such a huge track.
