Zedd & Matthew Koma’s classic “Spectrum” turns 5 years old

Home Uncategorized Zedd & Matthew Koma’s classic “Spectrum” turns 5 years old

When one of the most talented producers in the industry teamed up with one of the first leading vocalists of EDM, the results were always going to be something special. And that is exactly what happened when Zedd collaborated with Matthew Koma to bring us “Spectrum” in 2012, and even after all these years, the track still sounds as good as it did when it was first released. The track featured as the first single of Zedd’s debut album “Clarity”, and set the standard for the other original productions that would follow from the German producer. A remix package also accompanied the single, with Armin van Buuren, Arty, Congorock and Deniz Koyu adding their touches to Koma’s unique vocals.

Since its release, it’s fair to say that Zedd has gone on to dominate the dance music scene with both commercial hits and club anthems, teaming up with the likes of Hailey Williams, Ellie Goulding and Ryan Tedder to name a few, and earning a Grammy award along the way. Koma has equally gone on to achieve some phenomenal feats, working with producers such as Hardwell, Tiesto, and Nicky Romero as he became one of the most recognisable voices in the industry.

Relive the track in all its glory below and feel the nostalgia from what may be the golden period of EDM.
