In 2011, Dutch powerhouse Afrojack teamed up with Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Australian DJs NERVO for the classic track “The Way We See the World“. The record recently hit its release’s six-year anniversary and in celebration, let us relive the hit single and the memories we had listening to it.
While breaking through the scene, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and NERVO released “The Way We See the World” and as a result, their respective careers within the industry propelled to entirely new heights. The track was also Tomorrowland’s anthem in 2011, attracting even more attention to the production.
Prior to the release, Afrojack was rapidly rising as a dance music heavyweight with hits such as “Take Over Control” and “Selecta” alongside Quintino. Similarly, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike were accumulating huge success from their hit “Tomorrow (Give in to the Night)”, as well as NERVO, who were already making a name for themselves with performances at Ultra Music Festival and for Britney Spears’ sixth concert tour.
With its powerful synth progressions and catchy vocals, “The Way We See the World” became one of 2011’s biggest game-changers. Possessing such energy and top-notch electronic sounds, it comes to no surprise as to why this track was designated to be Tomorrowland’s anthem six years ago.
