Kygo helps fan with EDC Las Vegas proposal

A lot of exciting things happened at this year’s EDC Las Vegas. From dancing under the electric sky to fans encountering their favorite DJ’s, Insomniac’s 3rd annual charity auction allotted a few ravers with the opportunities of a lifetime. Among those chosen, Kevin, who won the ‘Propose on the Stage of Your Choice’ took full advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Alongside ‘Golf Cart Escape Route’, ‘Festival Sneak Preview’, and ‘The Golden Ticket’, this giveaway offered hopeless romantic Kevin the chance to propose to girlfriend, Kaitlyn Rose, during Kygo’s Kinetic Field experience.

Having planned the proposal 9 months prior to the event, Kevin kept in contact with the “Stay” performer to ensure things would run as smooth as possible. Completely unaware of the interaction, Kaitlyn spent the majority of the festival unaware of the moment, explaining:

“I thought I was being taken to meet Kygo. Kevin knows he’s my favorite DJ and he didn’t say anything about it during the whole trip, but then he was like, ‘Come here, come here!’ He took me off the Sky Deck was like, ‘I have a surprise for you…we’re going to go and meet Kygo.’ I asked how he pulled it off and he said, ‘Oh, we went to headquarters and planned it.”

With the help of Kygo, Kevin was able to achieve the impossible…
