Laidback Luke x Konih – Like This

Laidback Luke returns with another release available for free download on his new sub-label Ones To Watch with the Talented Konih. Their fiery track ‘Like This’ will prove to be a signature OTW release. German duo TWOLOUD who remixed the track, also had their remix signed to OTW.

The intro conveys the idea that the track is that of a typical Electro House song, however, the drop catches listeners off-guard when the drop transforms into an emphatic tribal banger. Led by detuned, atonal synth blasts and a booming kick drum rhythm, the track is primed for festival main-stages. The second break pairs brooding horns and reverb-soaked pitch-bending synths before the drop hits like a wrecking ball.

However, that’s not all. TWOLOUD received the chance to give ‘Like This’ a new perspective of their own, by creating an immense remix that hit the spot with Luke & Konih. With the remix turning out so well, both parties decided it would be best to feature it in the release pack together with the original.

With both tracks being released on Laidback Luke’s new sub-label, the Mixmash founder sees his sub-label Ones To Watch as a “stepping stone” for emerging talent to help them break through into the big leagues and will see him provide the same level of attention to detail and support that Mixmash has come to be recognised for. Don’t be surprised to see some of these artists ‘graduate’ onto the main label itself.
