Having previously walked away with the #1 DJ in the world award during the 2016 poll, Martin Garrix has enjoyed a huge year since, releasing fresh singles “Scared to be Lonely” with Dua Lipa, and “There For You” with Troye Sivan. The Dutch DJ and producer, who has played numerous shows worldwide, recently excited UK fans by announcing he’d play a show in London around the Halloween weekend.

With details expected to drop this Friday, it seems Garrix’s choice of location may have been leaked a few days early by mobile phone network O2, who sponsor the Brixton Academy venue where it has been revealed the ‘Animals’ superstar will play. The South London venue, now known as the O2 Academy, is famed for numerous dance music performances in years gone by, with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, and Galantis all playing there, whilst Ibiza brand ANTS staged an Easter extravaganza there in April 2017.

The O2 priority app gives O2 customers the chance to purchase tickets to events at their sponsored venues, including the gigantic O2 Arena in London, before they go on general sale. And the app has now informed Garrix fans of the venue details, listing the event scheduled for Friday 28th October 2017.
