Returning with yet another fresh episode of their weekly radio show, Spinnin’ Records have just unveiled the 220th edition of Spinnin’ Sessions. Every week, the show delivers some of the record label’s biggest current and future tracks to thousands of listeners, and this time is no different. Along with its regularly scheduled program, Spinnin’ Sessions invited Jay Hardway to perform a red-hot guest-mix.
Taking the helm, the show begins with Burak Yeter x Ryan Riback’s ‘GO 2.0’, a high-energy floor-filler, before launching into ‘Later’ by Vontage Culture & Ricci. With Don Diablo‘s new track ‘Momentum’ also getting a spin, alongside Zonderling anthem ‘Remedy’, this is one Spinnin’ Sessions mix that you surely won’t want to miss! The Talentpool feature for this session was the track ‘Biohazard‘ from Brazilian producer Artiik, who effortlessly pipped his fellow producers to claim the Talentpool feature.
With the end of the hour, the mix and the responsibility behind the decks are handed over to Jay Hardway. The Dutchman dishes out tracks of all flavors and tastes, showcasing the likes of Louder, Bougenvilla, Rootkit, Impera and Matt Nash apart from a few of his own productions. Hardway does well to bring that essential balance to the entire mix and delivers well in line with past guests on the Spinnin’ Sessions.
We were lucky enough to catch up with the Netherlands-based DJ, who spoke about his latest ventures, as well as a busy touring schedule.
What have you been up to lately?
“I’ve been working hard in the studio as usual and I just released my track ‘Need It’ which is getting great feedback from DJs and fans around the world. Right before that I released ‘Golden Pineapple’, which became #1 on the Future House chart on Beatport. This year has been very busy so far, I did two Asia tours and I’m currently in China as we speak. I played Electric Love Festival and Ultra Europe this summer, which definitely stand out in my list of favourite performances so far. Other than that I’m really excited about my new Fan Community that just went live; where fans can be the first ones to see new ‘Studio Time’ videos, win merchandise and download my radio show Inspire Radio. I’m very happy with the support and I hope to preview more new music very soon!”
What did you have in mind for this Guest Mix?
I love exclusive music so I definitely picked some tracks that aren’t released yet, including a remix I did for Bassjackers & Lucas & Steve! Another big exclusive is ‘Onik’ by Bougenvilla, a track that works really well in my sets, it really gets the people crazy. And of course I picked my brand new single ‘Need It’ I think it’s important to showcase tracks in a mix that I like very much and I could play in my live sets as well. Especially for a Spinnin’ Sessions guest mix.”
