Awakenings Festival, one of the world’s largest festivals dedicated solely to techno music, has made its set available for streaming online via BE-AT.TV. The stats for this year’s streams are truly staggering, with eight million individual viewers with a social reach of 77 million and 600,000 engagements on social media. BE-AT.TV has every set online from all eight stages, to be accessed on their website.
If techno is your sub-genre of choice, then the vast array of sets to stream will surely satisfy. Headliners at the 2017 edition of Awakenings included Sven Väth, Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, Nastia, Chris Liebing, Charlotte De Witte, Kobosil, Blawan, Sam Paganini, Floorplan, Ilario Alicante, Alan Fitzpatrick and Adam Beyer.
Held in Amsterdam every year, the Dutch techno festival attracts tens of thousands of attendees. Last weekend’s dates were all sold out, with fans travelling from around the world. This year represented a departure for the festival, as it moved from the city to a sprawling park in the hamlet of Spaarnwoude, in North Holland, to accommodate the crowds.
Awakenings organizers seek to balance techno stars with rising talent:
“Pitting household names against up-and-coming stars, Awakenings has become a ground of discovery, allowing techno-lovers to sample the latest directions and sounds from within the genre.”
