Nearing almost two decades in the industry, Above & Beyond have continuously wowed fans while building themselves up as one of dance music’s greatest trance and progressive house trios of all time. Creators of record labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, the London-based trio consistently rank among DJ Mag’s Top 100 list.

In a recent interview, Irish News caught up with one-third of Above & Beyond, Tony McGuinness, to discuss their upcoming album and success in the United States. As Tony says, one of the key factors to their success has been their increase in popularity in the U.S., which comes as no surprise, as they became the first UK dance group to sell out The Forum in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in 2014 for their 100th Group Therapy show.

This September, the trio are set to return to the United States for their monumental 250th Group Therapy show at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State. This will be one milestone that fans should not miss, as no doubt the show will be ablaze with new material from their upcoming album. Discussing the album, Tony Said:

“It’s one of those things where the first 90 percent takes half the time and then the last 10 percent takes half the time. I think we’re in that latter stage now. I’m in the studio this week and we’re hoping to get it finished by the Autumn for release next year. We’ll be putting out a few tracks before then though.”

Expect plenty of emotion and heartfelt music when the album drops, but unfortunately there is no release date yet. Tickets for Above & Beyond’s ABGT250 show are available here.
