For his fourth single of the year, Jauz completed his Off the Deep End EP with the release of “Alpha,” a high octane, synth and drum-driven track that has become a staple in his sets over 2017.
2017 has been a strong year for the Los Angeles-based bass house producer. Featuring at festivals around the world like Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, and Tomorrowland, in addition to his North American tour early in the year, his sound has spread across stages all over. With bass and future house only becoming more prevalent within artists’ sets and inspirations, Jauz’s influence on electronic music will only continue to grow.
“Alpha” stands out from Jauz’s previous 2017 releases for its sheer power and energy. The track, despite its simple premise, illustrates his goal quickly and successfully. Combining menacing synths with a powerful kick drum, the track opens with a growing beat, luring the listener in. Giving way to a heavy dubstep influenced beat, “Alpha” shows off all of Jauz’s influences and incorporates them into a strong track that should be featured in his sets for months to come.
As fans quickly realized, “Alpha” was the fourth release from his “Off the Deep End” series, completing the image seen below. With his meteoric rise to the top over the past year, it will be interesting to see what Jauz has planned next.
