Spinnin’ Sessions is back with yet another stellar weekly episode, this time featuring an incredible guest mix from New York duo YOOKiE. As always, Spinnin’ have treated us to a host of some of their most dynamic releases, alongside tracks from Tiësto‘s labels AFTR:HRS and Musical Freedom.
Kicking off with Spinnin’ Deep release ‘Scorched‘ by Kraak & Smaak featuring IVAR, the intoxicating rhythm ensures that this week’s episode oozes style from the onset. Following up with EDX‘s ‘We Can’t Give Up‘, the mix remains highly atmospheric, providing the ultimate chilled feel. Further on in the mix, Spinnin’ treat us to this week’s Talentpool selection, ‘Shuffle Dance‘, a bouncy, rhythmic anthem by Endego, before the mix takes a turn, unleashing a surge of energy with Carta‘s ‘Back To The Dancefloor’, a thumping track with a monstrous intensity.
As Spinnin’ Sessions reaches its midway point, listeners are treated to a massive guest mix from YOOKiE, which instantly exudes a ferocious level of energy, kicking off with Valentino Khan‘s ‘Pump‘, before quickly switching to Skrillex and Habstrakt‘s infamous collaboration ‘Chicken Soup‘. Before the mix reaches its conclusion, YOOKiE drop their latest release ‘One Life‘, a euphoric future bass masterpiece which has unsurprisingly been a hit with fans. The guest mix is absolutely stacked with IDs throughout, giving listeners a taste of upcoming music, complimented perfectly by a selection of tracks from both YOOKiE themselves as well as certified anthems from the likes of RL Grime, Snails, KSHMR and Slander.
We caught up with YOOKiE for a chat about their upcoming plans and their inspiration behind the guest mix.
What have you been up to lately?
“We have a busy fall ahead of us, playing gigs such as Escape Psycho Circus, a few Black Tiger Sex Machine dates, Wicked Halloween, and some international gigs as well. Tons of new projects but we’re keeping those quiet for now.”
What did you have in mind for this Guest Mix?
“We wanted to showcase what YOOKiE is all about. We tried to pack a punch in the 30 minutes we had. We have a few unreleased tunes, some of our favorites from other producers, and included our latest release with Spinnin’, ‘One Life’.”
