In his latest release, DJ and producer from São Paulo, Scorsi, has challenged the rules of electronic music. His newest project is justification that he does not stick with genres or labels, and the release of ‘So Simple‘ demonstrates his exceptional versatility in the studio, amplifying that he has no boundaries or limits to his sound. But producing the track was far from simple for Scorsi, who says:
“I created the first riff a year ago. I could not find something to complement it. It took me months to come up with a version that I thought was good enough.”
The track, ‘So Simple’, invites an abundance of feeling and emotion through its progression of chords and exquisite vocals. Scoring on the vocal front, Mickey‘s fierce yet warm vocals provide the track with a superlative touch.
“The hardest task was to find the perfect vocals. Many other months passed, until I found Mickey. 1 session for lyrics, 1 take of recording, and that’s it! It looks like she was expecting me, it was very perfect.”
The track serves as evidence of Scorsi’s protean capabilities as an artist, and he admits this is one of his favourite tracks he has ever produced. Having won the Miller SoundClash, Scorsi is certainly one of the world’s most exciting up and coming DJs. Just recently, he was invited to remix tracks from Bruno Martini and Alok, which resulted in Alok going on to play his remix of ‘Love Is A Temple‘ at his performances at Tomorrowland and VillaMix Festival.
