Avicii announces winners of “Without You” remix contest

Since the release of Avicii’s latest single ‘Without You‘ dropping as part of his new extended play AVĪCI (01), it has gone on to become an immediate fan favourite amongst the Swede’s vast catalogue of hits. Sandro Cavazza’s infectious provide for the perfect sing a long anthem that has been steadily climbing the charts over recent weeks. So when Avicii announced that he was launching an official remix contest last month, bedroom producers and seasoned professionals alike were itching at the opportunity to add their own twist to the already fantastic original.

This week, the two winners were officially announced, with French producer Notre Dame and Japanese producer Tokima Tokio taking the top prizes. Both very different tracks, but equally impressive, as they both secure a release of their remix on Geffen Records, as well as a prize of $5,000 and a feature on DJCity’s blog. Withe the remixes chosen by Avicii himself, this will undoubtedly catapult both producers careers to new heights, as their music gets exposed to a wide new audience of listeners. Congrats to both producers!
