Following a slew of ups and downs, including experiences at the very top, and ailments that left him all the way at the very bottom, Swedish progressive house DJ/Producer Tim Bergling has been working harder than ever before. Following the announcement of his retirement from live performance, the 27-year-old has gained an unmatched reputation, since his dominance of every feasible chart, thanks to releases like ‘Le7els’, ‘Hey Brother’, and ‘Wake Me Up’ under his Avicii moniker.

Originally intended for a release in the Fall of 2016, Avicii announced that his highly anticipated documentary, entitled ‘True Stories’ would finally receive a cinematic release, a year later in the Fall of 2017. The cleverly titled documentary, which gets its name from the period between Avicii’s debut album, named ‘True’, and the second album entitled ‘Stories’, intimately follows the DJ’s journey from obscurity to international fame.  The film further gives insight into what it means to have the world’s eyes and ears on your every move, respectively focussing on Avicii’s public and private image. Eager fans, who have been waiting for over a year, have now been given an added glimmer of hope, with the Swedish superstar finally whetting the appetite of his adoring followers with an official trailer.

The film, which is directed by long time friend, Levan Tsikurishvili, takes an in-depth look at Avicii’s impressive rise to fame, his production process, and some of the highs and lows that make up the life of a world class performer. Viewers will further be entertained with 30 minutes of exclusive concert material, filmed during Avicii’s farewell performance at Ushuaia Beach Club in Ibiza. If Tsikurishvili’s previous work alongside Avicci is anything to go by, fans are in for a masterful piece of art, which tells an intricately beautiful story.
