Nicky Romero & Calvin Harris’ collaboration “Iron” turns 5 years old

Two of electronic music’s most successful musicians, Calvin Harris and Nicky Romero have both been a force to be reckoned with in the industry. With Calvin Harris topping charts, and Nicky Romero producing some of the finest progressive house anthems in the scene, the pair decided to join forces to release an outstanding collaboration, ‘Iron‘.

As well as being released as a single on Nicky Romero’s esteemed label Protocol Recordings, the track was released as part of Calvin Harris’ album ‘18 Months‘, which was the first album in history to achieve nine top ten singles, demonstrating the truly impressive influence of the Scottish superstar within the music industry as a whole. Combining his talents with Nicky Romero, the resulting single ‘Iron’ was exactly as impeccable as anticipated, with the thumping bassline driving the melodic track. The production also features vocals from Calvin Harris, which sit perfectly in the middle section, adding to the euphoric nature of the track.

The hit collaboration has just turned 5 years old, and will always remain one of electronic music’s most iconic tracks. While Calvin Harris’ style has moved on, the track contains all of the hallmarks of a Nicky Romero production, showcasing his style that is still recognizable in his records to this day.
