Few names are held as close to the heart of clubbers around the world, as that of Dutch superstar DJ, Jeffrey Sutorius, better known by his world-conquering title Dash Berlin. Since the release of his massive, 2007 breakthrough single Till The Sky Falls Down, Dash Berlin’s music has been a mainstay in benchmark DJ sets by the likes of Armin van Buuren, who subsequently brought him aboard the mighty Armada, for chart-topping hits like Man On The Run, Disarm Yourself, Better Half Of Me and Steal You Away. While Dash Berlin found an unparalleled fan-base through his emotionally driven, vocal laced trance, he certainly shows no signs of standing back as dance music evolves.
Recent collaborations from his We Are (Part 2), studio album proves Dash Berlin is, as comfortable on top of today’s latest trends as he was with the trance music that put him on the map. Tracks like Gold show off Dash Berlin’s ability to delve into future bass with a seamless collaboration featuring DBSTF, Jake Reese, Waka Flocka, and DJ Whoo Kid.
Now back with a brand new single on Armada, Dash continues to perfect his new found talent for a slightly more downtempo genre while retaining the nostalgic melodies and heartfelt vocals we fell in love with over a decade ago. The new single titled Home, sees Dash Berlin teaming up with up and coming artist SAVI, featuring the beautifully fragile vocals of KO, for a track that will undoubtedly crossover and head straight up the charts. Baring all the elements that have become a sort of trademark sound for dance music in 2017, ‘Home’ borrows elements from a variety of genres to deliver a track that’s both familiar, yet fresh. The collaboration clearly shows the perfect fusion of old and new, leaving neither wanting.
