Home Uncategorized Ultra Worldwide closes out its absolutely historic Asia tour

Over the past few months, Ultra Worldwide took its top tier production to the Eastern Hemisphere and put on an astounding seventeen shows around the Asia continent. Every year, the iconic festival seems to get bigger and better as this year’s editions saw over 400,000 fans pile into their events to see some of the best DJs on the planet perform. They widened the festival’s reach to nine countries in adding Ultra China as well as two events in India over the course of the summer.

Ultra Worldwide kicked off the historic run with the Ultra Korea and Ultra Singapore editions, which both set incredible records bringing in 120,000 and 50,000 attendees respectively as Ultra Korea set a record for all Asian festivals. The next stops were the Road to Ultra India events featuring The Chainsmokers as the headlining act and saw nearly 30,000 fans during their first edition. The biggest addition to the event lineup was clearly Ultra China who hosted Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Porter Robinson and was one of the most successful festival editions next to Korea and Japan. Other events such as Road to Ultra Taiwan, Road to Ultra Philippines, Road to Ultra Hong Kong as well as Ultra Beach Bali returned for consecutive years and all saw increased attendance as the scene continues to grow.

Last weekend, Ultra Worldwide closed out its Asia run with the always iconic Ultra Japan, taking place selling out for the fourth year in a row since its debut back in 2014. The festival brought in similar numbers to Ultra Korea and featured an incredible lineup with Kygo, Pendulum, Steve Aoki and of course Hardwell who put on a set for the ages.
