If there is one producer who certainly isn’t going into hibernation this winter, it is Deadmau5. At the end of last month, fans took to Twitter and asked the famous Canadian producer if he had any new music in the form of an coming. Deadmau5, never shy of working on improving his sound, replied at the the time already by confirming: “Yup, she’s comin'”.
Now, about one month later, the 36-year old Joel Zimmerman revealed on Twitter that the successor to W:/2016ALBUM/ is set for release in Spring 2018. After finishing up his upcoming tour through Australia and New Zealand, Deadmau5 will return home to Canada where he will hit the studio all winter long to produce his new album. This may sound like a tough job at hand for many producers, but fans know that the “The Mau5” is able to deliver high quality productions in a much faster rate than many of his colleagues.
After already premiering a brand new track a few weeks ago during his performance at Red Rocks, Deadmau5 has been teasing new music on social media on a few other occasions as well. Most likely these short clips will be included on the brand new album coming up Spring 2018, which will then be Zimmerman’s 9th studio album, following his latest compilation album called ‘Stuff I Used To Do’. Check out Deadmau5’s tweet where he reveals that he will deliver the new album next Spring.
