Having already set the world humming along to his mellifluous tunes, Kygo‘s rise in the international Dance music scene has been well documented. Among other things, it is a story of an adept producer rising to global prominence not for a hit single but for the ability to deliver top notch output, week in-week out. Now, the Norwegian superstar is set to reassert his claim to fame in the global music scene with the imminent release of his sophomore album ‘Kids In Love’.
Set to be released in the first week of November, previews to the album showcase a maturity in the producer’s production style and album itself is a noteworthy compilation of tracks that hint at Kygo’s ability to show versatility while sticking to the honey-laced sound of his yesteryear hits.
Among the latest tracks to be premiered from the upcoming album is the ‘Riding Shotgun’. The track features American composer Oliver Nelson and pop singer Bonnie McKee on vocal duties and is reminiscent of the many remixes that were part of Kygo’s rise to fame. While Oliver Nelson provides a solid superstructure for the track to build upon, it is McKee’s incredible vocal shift that poises the track for the radio waves across the world. Another potential hit in the bag, Kygo’s recent collaboration with Oliver Nelson and Bonnie McKee is a sweet sounding precursor to the success that his ‘Kids In Love’ album is bound to see.
