Electronic music trio Major Lazer just dropped the trailer for their upcoming film and documentary and – as you can imagine – it is totally epic! Almost a decade on since the group caught attention with ‘Guns Don’t Kill People... Lazers Do‘, Major Lazer is the prime focus of this new documentary labelled ‘Give me Future’, that sees the trio explore the globalization of music and follows the electronic excellence during their colossal and famous concert in Havana, the leading commercial centre and capital of Cuba, back in 2016.

The historic concert was the first Cuban-American produced concert of its scale which drew in almost half a million attendees to downtown Havana. Through the trailer, Diplo shares some words: “Every artist begs for a moment in time where people are paying attention to you. But when it actually gets to you… you have to seize the moment, because it’s not going to happen again.”

The group spearheaded by Diplo endeavour to figure out how they can bring music to the people in a country that is far behind having access to the internet. Fellow protagonists Walshy Fire and Jaillionaire join the Mad Decent founder in this inspiring journey of electronic music history.

Major Lazer have long been a forefront runner of electronic dance music having released three full-length albums which included a variety of tracks including the illustrious ‘Get Free‘ and the super successful ‘Lean On‘ which became Spotify’s most streamed song ever and accounts for two billion YouTube plays. Most recently the group were at the aid of the Caribbean with their ‘Relief Is The Mission‘ concert in Miami.

The film ‘Give Me Future’ drops this November 17th on Apple music. Check out the electrifying trailer below.
