After announcing the inaugural edition of Ultra Music Festival Mexico, more news has arisen out of Ultra Mexico’s camp. As well as announcing a full lineup, the festival has decided to sell discounted tickets to patrons. Alongside this, 50% of all proceeds will go towards relief funds for the recent 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico City.

In an attempt to raise funds for the natural disaster, ticket prices have been dropped to $2,300 pesos (approx. $126 USD). In a recent Facebook post, Ultra Mexico organisers had the following to say:

“From 28 September and until 5 October you will be able to make your promotion valid with the code ‘MexicoUnido’ and buy your general subscription at $2,300 pesos also at Forum Buenavista Shopping Centre. (remember that 50% will be donated to the victims of the earthquake in Mexico).

The earthquake that hit Mexico City is said to have killed 226 people, coming just weeks after another quake hit, leaving 90 dead. Despite the sheer devastation the quakes have caused, Ultra Mexico’s generosity truly embraces the PLUR acronym and shows fans that sometimes, there are things bigger than music.
