Avicii – Lonely Together (Remix EP)

Avicii released the remix package for ‘Lonely Together‘ with British pop star Rita Ora. ‘Lonely Together‘ is the second single lifted from his comeback EP Avīci (01) and follows on the heels of ‘Without You‘.

The first remix is by Alan Walker and features his signature bubbling beats with the darkness he brings to tracks. The next version, remixed by DJ Licious is a work of beauty, relying on melodic synths. The Jaded Remix stutters, breaks, and builds into a heavy beat, club-ready without departing from the original version’s pop sensibilities. Closing out the four track EP is the Dexter remix, which is most similar to the original but incorporates some more fun, upbeat synths and piano flourishes.

The single is a pop masterpiece thanks to the team of major power players whom Avicii enlisted to help him craft the track. Songwriter watt assisted with the lyrics, bringing in his pop expertise from his work on ‘It Ain’t Me‘ with Kygo and ‘Let Me Love You‘ with Justin Bieber. Award-winning pop producer Benny Blanco is responsible for some of Rihanna and Katy Perry‘s biggest hits. Anglo-Albanian singer Rita Ora is a veritable pop queen, particularly in her home country of Great Britain, where her singles have achieved impressive feats on the charts.

Avicii and Ora have been promoting the single with a social media campaign on Snapchat with a filter that plays the song in the background. Ora herself performed the single on television in the UK, and her pop superstar status there has propelled the single into the Top 5.
