Home Uncategorized Eric Prydz and deadmau5 beaten to top spot in Beatstats 2017 chart

With iconic website and company Beatport proving a major player in the dance music industry,  a highly fascinating breakdown of 2017 as a year has been published, with the BeatStats Progressive House rankings producing some surprising results. Based on artists, labels, and tracks, and their rankings and chart positions in the Beatport Top 100, the breakdown shows that Jeremy Olander finishes this calendar year, as the highest ranking progressive house artist, ahead of global superstars deadmau5, and Pryda, aka Eric Prydz, who rank at #8 and #10 respectively.

Looking at the BeatStats rankings, there are further podium sports for Pryda’s protege, Cristoph, and Above & Beyond favourite, Yotto, with further places in the Top 100 for the likes of Grum, Third Party, and Corey James. With Anjunadeep beating sibling label Anjunabeats in the label rankings, there are also Top #10 positions for the likes of Lost & Found, Mau5trap, and Pryda Recordings.

With Cristoph and Yotto both dominating the Top 10 tracks of the year in the rankings with two apiece, the number one spot is snatched by Rufus, for Sasha‘s remix of his track ‘Innerbloom’, which pips Jeremy Olander’s ‘Panorama’ to the gold medal. You can listen to ‘Innerbloom’ below or take a look at the full BeatStats results here.
