With the official nominees list having been released in early October, the place on the top for the Best Electronic act at the MTV Europe Music Awards was open for the top notch artists of the industry. The EMAs ceremony was chalked to be held at the The SSE Arena, Wembley in London. And with the release of the awardees last night, it is French DJ and Dance music stalwart David Guetta who has pipped the likes of Martin Garrix, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer and The Chainsmokers duo to clinch the coveted award.

The news also comes just under a week after the revered French entertainer’s birthday, which we celebrated by rewinding the clocks back to 2005 for his Essentials Mix. A constant fixation for the eyes and ears of the dance music fans and followers, Guetta has been riding a release high from his latest single ‘Dirty Sexy Money‘ – a chirpy and upbeat tune – that sees him collaborating with an impressive line-up of Dutch DJ and producer Afrojack, British singer/songwriter Charli XCX and Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana. The award essentially comes through for David Guetta as a well won fight where the competition was stiff among the best of Dance music producers.

Check out the news of Guetta’s latest music and endeavors here.

The 2017 #MTVEMA for Best Electronic goes to the one and only @davidguetta ?
