5 years ago today, Revealed Recordings founder Hardwell blessed the dance music world with his iconic Electro House anthem ‘Apollo‘, featuring Amba Shepherd. Its release forever changed the scene’s landscape after taking the no. 1 spot on Beatport’s charts, just days after its release. It then remained on the Beatport chart for an entire year, an incredible feat for the young Dutch producer.

2012 through to 2014 proved to be the biggest years of the Dutchman’s life, releasing a long string of hits, including tracks such as ‘Spaceman‘, ‘Jumper‘ with W&W, and ‘Cobra‘. 2013 and 2014 also saw Hardwell achieve music royalty status when he sat atop of the DJ Mag Top 100 in consecutive years, making him the first to do so since Armin van Buuren claimed the top spot four years in a row from 2007-2010.

Since then, Hardwell has gone on to achieve a plethora of accolades. As well as holding a residency at Hï Ibiza this summer, he was also crowned ‘Best International DJ‘ at this year’s DJ Awards in Ibiza. He also dropped his debut studio album ‘United We Are’ in 2015 which peaked at no.1 on the Dutch albums chart. The album also saw its own tour that same year.
