EDM wunderkind Martin Garrix is releasing not one but two new singles this Friday, December 1, with previously mentioned ‘So Far Away‘ joined by ‘Glad You Came‘. One fan tweeted at Garrix asking when the other track was going to be released, to which the Dutch superstar replied that they would indeed be released on the same day. Another fan provided further information regarding the release date.

So Far Away‘ caused a bit of drama on Twitter, when Garrix revealed the David Guetta co-produced track would no longer feature British pop songstress Ellie Goulding. Goulding objected to his characterization of her removal from the track, citing her management and label’s dissatisfaction with the track being played at a festival earlier this year. No stranger to EDM collabs, Goulding has worked with both Calvin Harris and Kygo.

Glad You Came‘ is the second of the offerings, and has a marked hip hop inflection, but Garrix does not entirely forego his signature big room sound, with a characteristic drop accompanying the new urban sound. It is unknown if it will be released in its official incarnation as the version debuted already at festivals this year, nor who the featured male vocalist is.
