The year 2017 has definitely been a year that Selena Gomez won’t easily forget, but luckily she is about to end it in high spirits. Health problems kept her away from performing live on stage for most of the year, as the 25-year old actress and singer had to undergo surgery for a kidney transplant in September. While recovering from that, she announced that she will make her return on stage during the American Music Awards on November 19th, performing her latest hit with Marshmello, “Wolves”.

The collab with the popular American DJ/producer means Gomez’ third dance music hit, after teaming up succesfully with tropical house superstar Kygo for the track “It Ain’t Me” and with Zedd for “I Want You To Know”. In a live story on her Instagram account, Selena Gomez let fans in on her rehearsal for the AMAs, where she is expected to perform “Wolves” with Marshmello live for the first time. In the acoustic practice session, she rehearsed alongside songwriter/producer Andrew Watt, who wrote “It Ain’t Me” as well as several of Justin Bieber’s hits, and a backup singer.

Other announced performers at this year’s edition of the AMAs include Zedd, Alesso, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, BTS and Diana Ross. For Selena Gomez herself, she has a few more days to fine-tune her performance, and it’s great to see her back on her feet again, preparing to shine this coming Sunday.

Check out the practice session below.
