There are only a few more weeks left to go in 2017 and it seems like the perfect time of the year for British radio station BBC Radio 1 to unveil some of its residencies for the new year ahead. The station is definitely one of the most respected broadcasters in the music scene, so as an artist it is an honour to be featured. Previous residents include deadmau5, Kölsch, Eats Everything, Metrik and Will Atkinson (to name a few). As the year comes to a close, BBC Radio 1 have brightened up their listeners’ holiday season by unveiling some huge new names for 2018.

BBC Radio 1’s Residency programming consists of two shows on Thursday evenings, from 11 pm to 1 am (GMT). Kicking off the year will be TQD (Royal-T, DJ Q and Flava D) and Jubilee on January 4th, but other interesting names announced by the station include the likes of The Black Madonna, James Blake, Mura Masa, Artwork, Bradley Zero and TOKiMONSTA. Their monthly shows will run from January to June 2018.

From house to techno and from drum & bass to electro and trance: BBC Radio 1 gained respect for including both underground and mainstream names in their Residency programming, and the new roster of residencies announced proves the station will again stick to this principle. ‘From the underground, to the arena’, as they quoted.

Second Thursday of the month, Beginning January 11:
