Coming as one of the last radio mixes of 2017, the Dutch producer magician Brooks gets the call and delivers an hour of some of future house’s finest. The producer is known for his hypnotizing drops, dreamy breaks, and all around innovative production style. This mix comes as a showcase of all the artists he shares a common sound with, as well as some of dance music’s most popular songs at the moment.
It is very rare to catch the DJ’s name without Martin Garrix coming into discussion as well. The two Dutch DJ’s are very close and are both related in their culture, background, and inspiration. Starting things off is the sparkly “My Way” from Humain featuring Jex, the subtle plucks and deep bass line pave the way for the rest of the mix to break in. Next in line is Robin Schulz as he delivers his treatment of the instant classic “Cola” from Camelphat & Elderbrook. Then, Just after Inpetto and Redlight make an appearance, Brooks drops Mike Williams and Dastic’s sexy “You and I”.
Fans are treated to 3 Brooks remixes in the mix. Up first is Gryffin & Illenium -“Feel Good (Brooks Remix)”, followed by a remix of Zayn feat. Sia– “Dusk Till Dawn”, and then last but not least a remix of Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign– “Work From Home”. One of the highlight moments of the mix is when the massive “Boomerang” starts to fill the spectrum. The track comes courtesy of the DJ/producer himself featuring the number one DJ, Martin Garrix. The throwback vibes in Retrovision & Raven Kreyn– “Nobody Else” are truly something else as disco feels are revamped by a staggering future house drop. Another fellow Dutchman Mike Williams has two jaw dropping moments on the mix, first with “You and I” and then again with a collaboration alongside the man of the hour titled “Jetlag”. It is a deadly banger that doesn’t disappoint.
